Manchester United have slapped a £97.95m price tag on midfielder Paul Pogba amid interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, according to Don Balon.

The former Juventus man has been linked with a move out of Old Trafford and has admitted having problems with Jose Mourinho last season.

Pogba's role in helping France go all the way in the World Cup in Russia has highlighted his performance at United where he is not an attacking threat on a consistent level.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi reportedly wants him at the club, and according to reports, Pogba favours wearing Andres Iniesta's number 8 shirt if he moves to Spain.

Real Madrid reportedly want to pay £80m for Pogba, a player United bought from Juventus for a then world record fee of £89m in the summer of 2016.

With Mourinho looking to land his first league title as the United coach, it is very unlikely the club will sell their best midfielder to a potential UEFA Champions League rival. So far, he has won the Europa League and the FA Cup.
