Jamie Vardy signs new Leicester City contract
Jamie Vardy signs new Leicester City contract
England and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has agreed a fresh contract with the Foxes, thus ruling out talk of a move away from the Premier League side. The forward is expected to play an important part of the Foxes' first-team plans this season and had been linked with a move to several other Premier League rivals.
The 31-year-old has signed a new four year contract with his club and will remain at the King Power Stadium until at least 2022, thus ending the reported interest of both Burnley and Man Utd in the talented striker.
Vardy, who helped Leicester City to the Premier League title in 2015-16, has decided that he would like to end his career with the club that helped him come through non-league football to the upper echelons of English football to win the Premier League title.
Vardy will earn a reported £210,000 per week as per the terms of his fresh contract with Claude Puel's Leicester side.
