Tottenham target to get new deal
Aston Villa attacker Jack Grealish will be given a new contract after the Championship side blocked his move to Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day, The Sun reports. The contract will include a £30m January buyout clause for the Englishman.
Tottenham made a deadline day bid of £25m for the winger, but it was rejected, leaving Grealish unhappy.
The move breaking down means that the attacker missed out on a chance to play in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. It also meant that Spurs failed to sign a single player for the duration the transfer window was open.
Despite not earning another top-flight chance, the Villa academy graduate is regarded as one of the best young players in the UK and he is expected to become a regular member of the England national team in future.
The youngster will now have to focus on maintaining his form with a view to improving it in order to ensure a move up in his football career when the time is right.
