N'Zonzi close to Roma move

Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi has reportedly agreed personal terms with AS Roma ahead of his proposed move to the Stadio Olimpico this week.

The 29-year-old has asked to leave the La Liga before the transfer deadline and he was absent during the recent Spanish Super Cup defeat at the hands of Barcelona.

According to The Mirror, the World Cup winner has finalised terms with the Giallorossi and it now remains for the clubs to agree upon a suitable transfer fee.

Sevilla have previously indicated that they would not accept anything less than the player's £35m release clause but they are now prepared to reduce the valuation by at least £5m to push through the deal.

N'Zonzi has been with Sevilla since the summer of 2015 when he joined them from Premier League side Stoke City. He has made 136 appearances during his stay whilst winning the Europa League title in his maiden season.
