Manchester City interested in signing Barcelona goalkeeper
Manchester City have reportedly earmarked Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen as a suitable replacement for the recently injured Claudio Bravo.
Bravo suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during a training session on Monday and he is now expected to spend a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
As such, the Citizens are already looking into a suitable replacement to pursue in January and according to Mundo Deportivo, Jasper Cillessen has emerged as a possible option to assume the deputy role to Ederson.
Nonetheless, the move is not expected to be straightforward with the Dutchman wanting the assurance of regular gametime, if he is to part ways with the Spanish champions.
Cillessen has largely been the Cup goalkeeper during his time at the Camp Nou but he missed out of the Spanish Super Cup win over Sevilla where Marc-Ander ter Stegen started between the sticks.
He was earlier linked with a possible Premier League move with both Chelsea and Arsenal interested but the duo have since followed up to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga and Bernd Leno respectively.
