Arsenal boss delivers positive injury update on Koscielny
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has provided a positive injury update on Laurent Koscielny ahead of the Gunners league meeting against West Ham United this weekend.
The France international suffered a serious Achilles injury during the second leg of the Gunners' Europa League semi-final against Atletico Madrid last term and this cost him a place with Les Bleus at the World Cup.
Since then, reports have suggested that the 32-year-old could report for his rehabilitation programme in October but surprisingly the defender has made a quick return.
Speaking ahead of the Hammers game, Emery said: "He is working very hard. Every day two sessions. We are happy to have him here with us because he is our captain and he is showing his spirit to stay with us."
Despite this, Emery refused to confirm when the club-captain could return to action, although there have been reports suggesting that he may make his bow during the month of November.
Arsenal will be aiming for their first points of the Premier League campaign when they entertain West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
