David Luiz reveals he may have left Chelsea
Chelsea defender David Luiz has revealed that he may have left the Blues if Antonio Conte had stayed as manager.
Conte was sacked after finishing outside of the top four last season amid reports of a strained relationship with some Chelsea players, including Luiz.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Brazilian said: "If the manager had stayed the same, of course, everybody knows maybe I had to move clubs. Now I am here and so happy."
The Brazilian is into his third season in his second spell at Chelsea after rejoining from Paris Saint-Germain in August, 2016.
Last season, he made only ten Premier League appearances for Chelsea. He is very much a part of Maurizio Sarri's plans this term having appeared in all Chelsea's Premier League games this season.
Chelsea have started the season well under Sarri having collected nine points from their opening three games.
Chelsea will face Bournemouth next as they bid to return to the top four of the Premier League after missing out last season.
