German giants confirm interest in Reiss Nelson
Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that the club have enquired over the possibility of signing Reiss Nelson on loan from Arsenal this summer.
The teenager has yet to feature for the Gunners during the ongoing campaign and reports have suggested that he could be headed for a temporary challenge elsewhere.
Amidst this, Nagelmann has now formally confirmed Hoffenheim's interest in the youngster, though the deal is far from certain with the necessary formalities yet to be finalised.
"We've taken an interest in Reiss Nelson, I can disclose that, but nothing is set in stone as there are still things to clear up," he is quoted as saying by ESPN.
Nelson made his breakthrough under ex-Gunners boss Arsene Wenger during the previous campaign and he made eight starts and eight substitutes appearances across all competitions.
His present deal is due to expire at the end of the current season but the Gunners are expected to reward him with an extension beyond sealing his loan exit.
