Mousa Dembele to leave Tottenham for China?

Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele could be set for a shock move to China, as question marks remain over the Belgian's long-term future at the North London side. Dembele had been locked in talks with numerous teams over the summer but has so far decided to stay put with Spurs.

However, it is understood that at least three Chinese teams have expressed interest in the defensive midfielder and are willing to spend up to £25 million to land the player. It is understood that one of the teams looking at signing Dembele is the former club of Axel Witsel, who recently made a transfer to Borussia Dortmund.

Dembele has always hinted that he did not see his long-term future at Tottenham and that he would like to, at some point, transfer to another side.

Dembele is currently entering the final year of his Tottenham contract but has still been a first-team regular under manager Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs, even appearing in yesterday's shock 2-1 defeat to Premier League rivals Watford. 

Dembele had previously been linked with a transfer to Juventus.
