Saul Niguez on United radar

Manchester United are reportedly planning to trigger the hefty £134m release clause present in the contract of Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.

The 23-year-old has made over 200 appearances during his time with Atleti and he has enhanced his reputation further during the recent international break where he scored against England and Croatia for Spain.

According to OK Diario, United are planning to revive their long-term interest in the Spain international and they could be prepared to activate his release clause to open contract talks.

However, their pursuit could be dented by interest from the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, both of whom are eyeing a young recruit at the heart of their midfield.

Meanwhile, United have also been associated with a move for Saul's clubmate Lucas Hernandez, who presently has a £72m release clause written into his contract.

Manchester United will seek to secure back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season when they face Watford on the road on Saturdaty afternoon.
