Turkish giants plan move for Chelsea striker
Turkish heavyweights Besiktas are planning a lucrative deal to lure Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud to Istanbul ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
The Frenchman's current deal is due to expire at the end of the ongoing season and this permits him to discuss a pre-contract with an overseas club in January.
According to Goal.com, the former Turkish champions are prepared to reward the World Cup with a tempting contract as they seek a replacement for ex-Premier League ace Alvaro Negredo.
Despite the speculation, Giroud may not be in a hurry to leave the English capital given he has recently spoken about the prospect of penning a fresh deal with the Blues.
The former Arsenal man presently has an extension clause written into his contract which would extend his stay by a further 12 months but he is said to have plans of staying put further, should the Blues remain interested.
Giroud has largely been a substitute for Chelsea since the season begun but he has still contributed three assists for the Blues, who are presently leading the Premier League standings.
