Wolves place huge price tag on Ruben Neves
Wolverhampton Wanderers have placed a £110m price tag on transfer target Ruben Neves, according to the Times.
Having resisted attempts by other teams to sign the Portuguese during the last summer transfer window, this price tag is meant to ward off interest in the player as the January window approaches.
Manchester City were interested in signing the player before the start of the season as they sought a new defensive midfielder, but couldn't get him.
Manchester United are also interested in the former FC Porto player who has the same agent as Jose Mourinho, giving the Old Trafford side an advantage should Wolves be willing to sell.
Neves joined Wolves in the summer of 2017, and was an important player as they gained promotion to the Premier League.
He has played in all six of Wolves' Premier League games this season, scoring once and providing an assist. He was on the pitch as his side held Manchester United to a 1-1 draw over the weekend.
Wolves are currently in tenth position with 9 points from their opening games.
