Chelsea and Manchester City will do battle to sign Sam Lautenschutz from Voldendam. The Dutch youngster is considered one of the finest young prospects to come from the Netherlands in many years and has also caught the eye of local clubs PSV Eindhoven and Ajax.

The teenager is on the radar of Man City and Chelsea according to The Sun, with the club's scouting network delivering glowing reports on Lautenschutz's progress at youth level.

Both the Cityzens and the Blues are renowned for their quality scouting network and signing youth players at a very early age, so both clubs will be eager to agree a deal for the midfielder as soon as possible.

It is understood that the player's representative wants the midfielder's future to be decided by the end of January so that Lautenschutz can make the move to his new club in the summer of 2019.
