Manchester United to sign former Chelsea defender?

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly looking into a winter approach for former Chelsea and current Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake.
According to The Star, Mourinho is keen on bolstering the central defensive department at the turn of the year and Ake has been earmarked as one of the prime targets on his wishlist.
Ake previously worked under Mourinho during their time at Chelsea but he could not establish himself in the Premier League until he made the loan switch to Bournemouth following the Portuguese's departure.
The Netherlands international has since made the permanent move to the South Coast for a fee of £20m and his performances thereafter have caught elite club interest.
As per The Star, Mourinho has been impressed with how the Dutchman has begun the ongoing campaign and United could be prepared to tussle with Spurs for his services in the New Year.
Bournemouth are yet to specify any asking price for the versatile defender but reports suggest that they could demand at least double of the fee paid to Chelsea last year.
