West Ham forward Yarmolenko out for six months
West Ham has been dealt yet another blow after a terrible 1-0 defeat to Tottenham this past weekend, after hearing that striker Andriy Yarmolenko will be out of action for six months. The Ukrainian forward, who joined from Borussia Dortmund in a mega-money deal last summer, will be left on the sidelines for the foreseeable future after being stretchered off at half-time against Spurs on Saturday.
Yarmolenko had begun to show flashes of brilliance since forcing his way into the Hammers' first-team plans but will now need to watch the West Ham team's progress from the sidelines after sustaining a horrific injury.
West Ham has had two injury blows during the matter of two weeks after Jack Wilshere's return from injury had a major setback.
Yarmolenko, who signed a three-year contract with the Irons, will now likely be replaced by Michail Antonio in West Ham's first-team and Marko Arnautovic will need to be back in form and amongst the goals to kickstart the Hammers' stuttering league form so far this season.
