Maurizio Sarri confirms Eden Hazard's injury ahead of BATE clash
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Eden Hazard will play no role in the Europa League meeting versus BATE Borisov on Thursday night.
The Belgium international has been in sublime form for the Blues this campaign and he has already amassed eight goals and three assists across all competitions.
However, it appears certain that he won't play any part in the European meeting versus BATE after picking up a back problem which sees him doubtful for the weekend game against Burnley as well.
"Hazard is out for sure. He has a back problem. We are trying to solve the problem for Sunday," Sarri is quoted as saying by The Mirror in a press conference.
Chelsea have been disappointing in the Europa League this campaign having only scrapped through close 1-0 wins over PAOK and Vidi and Sarri will be hopeful that his team can produce a better conversion rate upfront versus BATE.
