Maurizio Sarri praises midfielder as the 'complete player' after Burnley win
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri believes Ross Barkley has become the complete player after a standout performance in the Premier League clash at Burnley.
The England international came into the game after bagging two goals and an assist from his previous two league matches and he managed to continue his good form against the Clarets by contributing towards two of the goals in the 4-0 win.
Speaking after the encounter, Sarri was full of praise for the former Evertonian, who struggled with a repetitive hamstring injury during the majority of the previous campaign.
He added that the Englishman has shown a good improvement on the physical side of the game when compared to the previous season and he could now consider him as the complete player.
“He improved his physical condition because the last season for him was really very difficult. He’s a very good player from the technical point of view. Now I think Ross is complete," he said.
The victory over Burnley ensured Chelsea went unbeaten for the 10th game on the trot this term and this has propelled them to second on the league table, though Manchester City could leapfrog them with a win at Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.
