Cesc Fabregas refuses to rule out Arsenal return

Fabregas open to Arsenal comeback

Spain international Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he would not rule out a potential return to Arsenal from Chelsea, should the opportunity arise in the future.

The midfielder presently has just eight months left on his existing deal with the Blues and he has recently suggested that the club are yet to open a dialogue with him regarding an extension.

With this in mind, Fabregas has been asked about the possibility of making a comeback with the Gunners and speaking to Marca, he said: "Arsenal will always be in my heart. I will never forget them so why not return. You never know.I feel fine still. In seven months my contract ends with Chelsea."

Fabregas was a regular under the guidance of Antonio Conte over the past two seasons but with the change in management, he has struggled for gametime and has made just a single substitute appearance in the Premier League.

Arsenal have not been linked with Fabregas in any form since turning down the opportunity to sign him from Barcelona four years ago but they may seek to pursue his signature with Aaron Ramsey currently in the final year of his contract.

Talks between Ramsey's representative and the club are said to have reached a complete standstill and reports indicate that the Gunners could sanction his sale at the turn of the year rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.
