Tottenham are ‘very interested’ in signing 24-year-old German defender
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a long list of defenders over the past few months and it would be no surprise if some of the claims have truth behind them.
There’s some serious uncertainty over the future of Toby Alderweireld, and less so for Jan Vertonghen.
Calciomercato bring a new man to the list and their claims sound rather believable. It’s repeated several times this is their own information and exclusive, which would lead one to believe it’s come from a source close to the potential transfer.
The man in question is Koray Gunter. Gunter is a 24 year old German born defender. He’s of Turkish origin and having come through the Borussia Dortmund system he moved to Galatasaray in 2014.
Leaving there on a free in the summer, Gunter signed for Genoa. AC Milan have been credited with interest, and today’s claim states they will face competition because Tottenham are ‘very interested’.
Spurs are said to have sent scouts to watch the footballer several times, and will do so again for the weekend match against Napoli.
