Andreas Christensen speaks on his Chelsea future

Christensen won't push for winter Chelsea exit

Denmark international Andreas Christensen has suggested that he may not pursue a fresh challenge away from Chelsea when the transfer window reopens.

The central defender made his competitive debut for the Blues under Antonio Conte and went on to make 40 appearances across all competitions.

However, the current campaign has been different with Maurizio Sarri's change to two central defenders from three and he has yet to earn a single minute of playing time in the Premier League.

In a report covered by Sky Sports, Christensen admitted that he is not pleased with the current situation, though he may not seek an exit in the New Year.

"Difficult question. No, I don't think so. Things are different from last season. I played a lot of games [last season] but this season it hasn't been like that," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

Christensen has solely featured in the Cup and European competitions this term and this has earned him just six appearances - all of which have come alongside Gary Cahill at the heart of the defence.
