Juan Mata not in a rush to sign Manchester United contract

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is reportedly playing the waiting game in terms of committing to a new long-term contract with the Old Trafford outfit.
The 30-year-old's current deal expires at the end of the ongoing season but so far, the Spaniard has yet to show any intention of discussing a renewal with the club.
According to ESPN, the former Chelsea man is biding his time over a potential renewal as he wants to assess his options between now and the end of the campaign.
Premier League rivals Arsenal have recently been tipped to sign the Spaniard on a Bosman next summer with manager Unai Emery having a close relationship with the midfielder from their time together at Valencia.
Mata, who has been one of United's improved players this term, could make his 200th appearance for the club when they entertain Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend.
United are currently seven points behind the Champions League positions after 12 games into the campaign and they have no room for mistakes as they head into the festive period.
