Marco Silva prepared to raid for another Watford star
Everton have reportedly identified earmarked Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure as a probable signing to bolster their midfield department in the near future.
The Frenchman has made a strong impression since arriving at Watford in the summer of 2016 and he has already made 70 appearances in the Premier League.
According to The Mirror, Toffees boss Marco Silva could be prepared to make an attempt to sign Doucoure at the turn of the year, having previously managed to lure Richarlison from Vicarage Road.
Nonetheless, the midfielder won't come on the cheap just like Richarlison, with his existing Watford deal only due to expire at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
Doucoure has previously been linked with north London giants Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur but neither made an approach for his signature during the previous summer transfer window.
Everton have made a good start to the ongoing Premier League season and they are currently occupying the sixth spot after attaining 22 points from their opening 13 matches.
