Unai Emery drops injury update on Hector Bellerin

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has confirmed that Hector Bellerin has suffered a serious injury during the recent Premier League triumph over Chelsea.
The Spain international made his first league start in over a month after recovering from a calf problem but his appearance could not last the entire 90 minutes after he sustained a worrying knee injury in the second half.
Speaking after the game, Emery acknowledged that the defender could be out for a while but refused to confirm the exact timeline until the necessary medical assessment is made.
“We are going to wait until tomorrow. It is his knee and the first prediction maybe can be an important injury. Tomorrow we will speak with the doctor. I hope not, but it is not very positive, our first impression,” he told Arsenal.com.
In the absence of Bellerin, Emery highlighted that he has three options in the form of Stephan Lichtsteiner, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Carl Jenkinson to fulfil the right-back duties without the need to spend in the market.
