Maurizio Sarri confirms Gonzalo Higuain signing
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has revealed that the club are on the cusp of announcing the signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Serie A giants Juventus.
The Argentine has been heavily tipped to join the Blues since the turn of the year and Sarri has now confirmed that the move will be announced in due course.
Speaking ahead of the Tottenham game, Sarri acknowledged that the striker would be signing for the west London side but admitted that it would be impossible for the marksman to feature against Spurs.
Higuain had to be registered by the Blues before the 12.30pm cut-off time on Wednesday to participate against Spurs but it is yet to be revealed whether they have managed to do so.
Chelsea are currently trailing Tottenham Hotspur by a 1-0 scoreline after the first leg of the League Cup semi-final but they have the chance to make amends in the home leg at the Bridge tomorrow.
