Manchester United boss confirms double injury blow after PSG game
Manchester United's interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the duo of Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard will be assessed in the forthcoming days after sustaining injuries in the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Both players required treatment for their respective problems during the first half against Les Parisiens and while Lingard was substituted before the break, Martial did not return following the interval.
In a report covered by Sky Sports News, Ole has now confirmed that Martial and Lingard have sustained groin and hamstring injuries respectively and the extent of the same would be analysed in the next few days.
Nonetheless, it does not make for good reading ahead of the forthcoming weekend where they have a tricky FA Cup fifth round challenge against Chelsea on the road.
Manchester United saw the end of their 11-match unbeaten run under Ole on Tuesday night where they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.
