Didier Deschamps impressed with attacker's progress at Manchester United
France manager Didier Deschamps has been impressed with the progress of Anthony Martial through the current campaign and has hinted that the attacker could earn a call-up for the forthcoming internationals.
Speaking to Laureus Sport, the World Cup-winning manager acknowledged that Martial is playing at a very high level at United and his team are keeping a close watch on his proceedings.
"Anthony Martial is back at a very, very good level. He is a player who was with us at Euro 2016, he was not there for the World Cup but he is one of the players we regularly follow," he said.
Martial missed the recent FA Cup fifth round tie against Chelsea with a groin problem but he could make a surprise return ahead of the weekend's league clash against fierce rivals Liverpool.
The Frenchman has already contributed 11 goals during the ongoing season but most of those came during Jose Mourinho's time at the helm, where the club were struggling to secure wins on a consistent basis.
