Pires suggests Arsenal have advantage in signing PSG star

Arsenal legend Robert Pires believes the Gunners have the advantage in signing Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain due to the presence of Unai Emery in their ranks.

The midfielder's contract with Les Parisiens is due to expire at the end of the season and he has already made the decision to move on from the French champions.

Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona and Liverpool have been among the high-profile teams, who have been linked with the Frenchman but speaking to Bwin, Pires believes Arsenal have the edge with Emery at the helm.

"Arsenal have the advantage of Emery having already worked with him at PSG, which should hopefully sway Rabiot to join Arsenal," he was quoted as saying by Bwin.

Rabiot has not featured for the French champions since the backend of last year amid the contract standoff and Les Parisiens are likely to maintain the same stance until he leaves on a free transfer in the summer.
