Chelsea to lose out on Zinedine Zidane's signature?
Chelsea could be denied the chance to appoint Zinedine Zidane as their new head coach in the summer amid the recent transfer ban sanctioned by FIFA.
The Blues have earmarked the Frenchman as the prime target to replace Maurizio Sarri in the summer with the latter likely to bow out of the club unless a top-four position is assured.
According to The Sun, the Blues are said to have the plan of appointing Zidane at the helm in the summer with the assurance of spending £200m on fresh recruits before the start of next season.
However, their ambition could be shattered by FIFA, who are keen to impose the two-window transfer ban by demanding a quick response from the CAS for the recent appeal.
Chelsea are currently five points behind the top four positions but they have the Champions League destiny in their own hands with two additional games left to play compared to their nearest rivals.
