Samuel Umtiti open to Manchester United transfer?
Manchester United have reportedly received a boost in the pursuit of Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have not managed to strengthen their central defence in the past two transfer windows, but they are likely to bolster the department at the end of the campaign.
According to Calciomercato, the Blaugrana are mulling over the sale of Samuel Umtiti with Matthijs de Ligt highlighted as the probable replacement from Ajax.
Umtiti, who is currently valued at around £60m, has endured a frustrating injury-plagued campaign with the Blaugrana this term, and he has managed just 10 appearances across all competitions.
Umtiti had previously been linked with the Red Devils last year, but he was rewarded with a fresh long-term deal before the victorious World Cup campaign with France.
Aside from Umtiti, United have also been associated with the likes of Toby Alderweireld and Kalidou Koulibaly, though the Frenchman remains the younger option among the trio, who could serve on a long-term basis.
