Nandez set for shock Leeds United move?

Uruguayan midfielder Nahitan Nandez is a target for Premier League promotion chasing club Leeds United. The Championship side are already planning a busy summer of transfer moves and it appears that Boca Juniors starlet Nandez is at the very top of their wishlist.

Nandez appeared in Uruguay's World Cup 2018 squad and is considered the best up and coming player in his homeland alongside Arsenal starlet Lucas Torreira. Nandez has played 20 times for his country and had previously captained the Uruguay under-20 side during the U-20 World Cup in 2015.

Nandez, 23, has the kind of combative style that Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa hopes to add to his squad this summer as he prepares for life in the Premier League.

Bielsa's attacking style of football sees him usually deploy four attacking midfielders with just one holding midfielder and Nandez is seen as the perfect type to take up that role in England's top flight.

It is understood that Leeds United will need to pay around £24.75 million to secure a move for Nandez.
