Barcelona to move for Antoine Griezmann?

Barcelona are amongst the teams weighing up a move for Atletico Madrid's wantaway forward Antoine Griezmann. The French international, who has repeatedly stated that he is happy at Atletico, has informed his agent to help push through a deal to a bigger team.

It is understood that Barcelona's board are at loggerheads over whether or not to make a move for Griezmann, considering that the Frenchman has offered himself to other clubs in Europe as well.

An ESPN source quipped: "It's something which has passed the majority of the people at the club by -- the Griezmann issue is something being directly dealt with by the president."

It is understood that Josep Maria Bartomeu has had multiple debates with the club's board regarding a move for Griezmann, for which he is strongly in favour of a transfer deal.

Griezmann has informed his agent to push through a deal as soon as possible, as he is unhappy that his club have slipped ten points behind in the La Liga title race already with two months of the season to go.
