Chelsea star on the cusp of Real Madrid move?

Chelsea's Eden Hazard is reportedly on the cusp of joining Real Madrid and the same could be announced in the coming days, Spanish publication Marca claims.

The Belgium international has been heavily linked with the outgoing European champions this term and it appears that he is on the verge of finalising a transfer agreement with the Madrid giants.

According to Marca, Los Blancos are nearing the capture of the former Lille man, with a move to Spain expected to be finalised before the end of the current week.

The same publication suggests that Hazard has been Zinedine Zidane's prime target since rejoining the club and the Spanish outfit have obliged by lodging an approach to sign the attacker.

Hazard's potential arrival at Madrid is expected to generate doubts regarding the future of Gareth Bale, who has been criticised by Los Blancos fans in the past few seasons.

The Wales international has been touted for a probable return to the Premier League with Los Blancos prepared to accept a fee in the region of £55m for his services.
