Predicted Manchester United lineup for tonight's derby

Manchester United are scheduled to host Manchester City in tonight's Manchester derby at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are currently three points behind the top four and they face a potentially must-win situation, if they are to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

David de Gea has produced a couple of average performance between the sticks this month, but he nonetheless remain the team's first-choice pick in goal. He is expected to start.

In the defence, Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw are likely to get the nod at the heart of the backline with the latter returning from a two-game domestic ban. In central defence, Chris Smalling is likely to partner Victor Lindelof meaning that Phil Jones will drop to the bench.

In the midfield, Nemanja Matic could get the axe after a poor showing in the embarrasung 4-0 loss at Everton. In his absence, we are anticipating Scott McTominay to enter the fray to partner Fred and Paul Pogba. Ander Herrera remains another viable option but it appears that he has been excluded from the squad for tonight's derby.

Further forward, no changes are likely from the recent Toffees defeat with Ole highlighting that the regulars should take responsibility to redeem themselves. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford should feature on the left and right side of the attack with Romelu Lukaku leading the line.
