Chelsea boss updates on Antonio Rudiger's fitness after Manchester United draw
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Antonio Rudiger has suffered a recurrence of a knee injury during the Premier League clash against Manchester United.
The Blues managed to grab a solitary point from their trip to Old Trafford which finished 1-1 but the game was marred with yet another injury concern for Rudiger.
Speaking after the game, Sarri acknowledged that the defender has sustained another knee problem and he is certainly out for the midweek Europa League semi-final clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Elsewhere, the Italian tactician cited that there is nothing serious with Willian's situation and the Brazilian was only substituted due to a knock, he told Football.London:
"The most serious is Rudiger, his knee. I think Willian is only a knock and that we can recover him. For the next game in the Europa League I think Antonio is out."
Chelsea have moved two points clear of Arsenal in the race for the fourth spot and they can secure Champions League football by winning their remaining two games.
The same, however, does not remain easy with Watford and Leicester City in a good run of form and they need to produce their best to come up with maximum points.
