Predicted Manchester United XI vs Cardiff City

Manchester United entertain Cardiff City at Old Trafford in the final gameweek of the Premier League season.

The Red Devils are already out of contention for the top four, but they have the chance of surpassing Arsenal to the fifth spot, which could see them avoid the qualification rounds of the Europa League, should Watford win the FA Cup.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

David de Gea has been the undisputed choice in goal through the campaign and he is expected to remain in goal for the curtain closer with Sergio Romero injured.

At the back, Ole may consider the solitary change with Chris Smalling returning to the lineup. In such a case, Ashley Young and Luke Shaw should feature in the full-back roles with Smalling accompanying Victor Lindelof at the heart of the backline.

In the centre of the park, Ander Herrera should be rewarded with a start during his final game for the club and the Spaniard could be accompanied by Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay, who have been regular choices under Ole.

Further forward, Juan Mata could be another player in contention for a final start with his contract expiring next month. The Spaniard is likely to feature on the right wing.

Aside from this, Tahith Chong could be handed with his maiden Premier League start for the side on the left side of the attack while Marcus Rashford seems certain to lead the line with Romelu Lukaku out injured.
