Chelsea make Gonzalo Higuain transfer decision
Chelsea have reportedly decided against extending the loan deal of Gonzalo Higuain beyond the ongoing campaign.
The Argentine joined the Blues from Juventus on an initial six-month contract in January, but he has since been disappointing with just five goals from 21 appearances.
The west London side have the option to either extend Higuain's loan stay or buy him on a permanent basis this summer but The Mail claims that the Blues are likely to reject both options and send him back to Turin.
The Blues are currently banned from signing above the age of 18 for the next two transfer windows, but they are still prepared to part ways with the marksman, who has struggled to adapt to the demands of the Premier League.
Chelsea are likely to have Alvaro Morata, Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham returning from their loan spells next month and one of the trio could be afforded with a regular role following Higuain's departure.
