Manchester United make their move to sign French midfielder
Manchester United have reportedly lodged a contract offer to sign Adrien Rabiot, who is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the month.
The Frenchman has declined to sign a fresh deal with Les Parisiens beyond June and he is now expected to secure a Bosman move elsewhere.
According to Le 10 Sport, United have made their move for the 24-year-old and they are prepared to offer him wages of aroud £170,000-a-week to seal a transfer to Old Trafford.
In addition to this, they are prepared to offer him with a £4m signing-on package as they seek to ward off interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
United have already announced that they will part ways with Ander Herrera when his deal expires this month and Rabiot should prove a handy replacement while slotting into the holding midfield role.
Nemanja Matic and Herrera have been the prime contenders for the position in recent seasons but Rabiot stands the chance of cementing the spot for the long-term with the former being inconsistent with his showing.
