Arsenal make Mesut Ozil transfer decision
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for midfielder Mesut Ozil following his average performance over the course of the 2018/19 season.
The German has struggled under the guidance of Unai Emery and he managed just six goals and three assists in the recently-concluded campaign.
According to Football.London, the Gunners have decided to place Ozil in the transfer market for the summer despite the attacker recently stating that he has no plans of leaving the club.
The same outlet suggests that the Gunners may struggle to find potential suitors because of his hefty £350,000-a-week wages alongside the transfer fee which the club are said to demand.
Ozil, who has more than two years remaining on his current contract, is presently the Gunners' third most expensive signing after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal could be working on a limited £40m budget for the summer after failing to qualify for next season's Champions League. As such, some of their summer transfer business could be dependent on player sales.
