Arsenal prepared to sell Laurent Koscielny?

Koscielny to head through the Arsenal exit door

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to part ways with club-captain Laurent Koscielny with manager Unai Emery aiming to rebuild the squad with younger players.

The former France international has been one of the Gunners' most consistent performers over the years but his future with the club remains uncertain as he approaches the final phase of his professional career.

According to The Sun, the north London giants are likely to demand a fee of around £10m for the Frenchman's sale with Emery looking to bring a fresh look to the club's backline.

Saint-Etienne teenager William Saliba has been identified as the prime option to strengthen the central defence but his arrival could take up most of the club's £40m pre-sales budget.

Koscielny has attracted interest from Bayern Munich in the past but reports currently indicate that Borussia Dortmund are the only team in the running to pursue the centre-back, who has 12 months left on his Gunners deal.
