Manchester United make fresh approach to land Belgian midfielder

Manchester United have reportedly made fresh contact with the representative of midfielder Youri Tielemans as they seek to lure the midfielder from AS Monaco.

The Belgium international spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan with Leicester City and he was hugely successful with three goals and five assists in the Premier League.

Owing to this, there has been widespread interest from various European sides to pursue him and according to HLN journalist Kristof Terreur, United have revived their pursuit of the Belgian.

It is added that the club have only made contact with the agent of the midfielder and they have yet to open a dialogue with Monaco regarding a potential deal this summer.

Tielemans, who has already earned 23 caps with the Belgium national side, is said to be valued at around £40m by Monaco following his promising spell in the Premier League last term.

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the Belgian, but they are similarly monitoring the developments without lodging a formal offer.
