Real Madrid prepared to offer 23-year-old attacker in exchange for Sadio Mane
Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to sanction the sale of Marco Asensio to Liverpool, should they receive Sadio Mane in a potential exchange deal.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has held a keen interest in signing the Spain international but the club have been put off by Los Blancos' £85m asking price in the past.
According to The Express, the Reds will be offered the chance to land the attacker this summer, provided they are willing to hand one of their main performers in exchange.
The same publication claims that Mane has been earmarked as Los Blancos' prime option for the proposal, though Klopp has no desire whatsoever to lose the Senegalese forward.
Asensio did not experience the best of seasons with Los Blancos last term, but he still managed six goals and seven assists from 44 appearances for the side in all competitions.
Liverpool have made just one signing in the form of teenage defender Sepp van den Berg this summer, but the Dutchman is unlikely to make the first-team squad anytime soon.
