Juventus are prepared to offer Mario Mandzukic as part of a proposal to sign defender Matteo Darmian from Manchester United this summer.

Darmian has failed to cement a regular role at United in recent years and last season saw him make just seven appearances for the club across all competitions.

According to The Mail, the Bianconeri are eager to land the signature of Darmian from the Red Devils, considering the uncertain future of Joao Cancelo.

The same publication claims that the Serie A holders will propose a player-plus-cash deal for Darmian whereby veteran striker Mandzukic will be included as the makeweight.

Mandzukic, 33, had been a top target for United under the guidance of former boss Jose Mourinho but the same does not seem the case with Solskjaer, who has shown the preference to pursue younger players.

Aside from Juventus, Inter Milan are also in the running to sign Darmian with manager Antonio Conte wanting the player to be integrated into his traditional tactic of using wing-backs.
