Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera has penned a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain shortly after his release from Premier League side Manchester United.

The 29-year-old decided against a new deal with the Red Devils after they failed to meet his wage demands and it was widely predicted that he would end up joining the French champions.

The same has been made official after his release from Old Trafford and Herrera has said that he is looking forward to winning every possible title at Parc des Princes.

"Paris St Germain are the greatest club in France. They keep on improving and compete to win every possible title. I was looking forward to coming to Paris and wearing the colours," he told the club's official website.

The Spaniard has joined the Ligue 1 giants as a direct replacement for midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who sealed his Bosman move to Juventus earlier in the week.

Herrera represented Manchester United on 189 occasions between 2014 and 2019.
