Fenerbahce are reportedly prepared to propose a loan deal for Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil whereby they are willing to pay part of the German's wages.

The 30-year-old was in-and-out of the starting lineup under manager Unai Emery, who had a concern regarding his physical attribute and work ethic on the playing field.

According to Fanatik, the Gunners boss is happy to part ways with the midfielder in any form this summer and Fenerbahce could propose a temporary deal in the coming weeks.

It is added that they are willing to pay around £8m of the player's £13.5m annual salary thereby allowing the Gunners to free up wages for other new signings during the transfer window.

Both Ozil and his representative have previously cited that a summer departure is out of question, but the midfielder could be tempted to join Fenerbahce after openly talking about the prospect in the past.

Ozil, who has Turkish heritage, has regularly spent time in Istanbul in the past few years. He has also been linked with Besiktas and Galatasaray, though Fenerbahce are often mentioned as the midfielder's favourite outfit.
