Shkodran Mustafi won't be leaving Arsenal this summer
Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi appears to have no desire to part ways with the club despite the criticism from the supporters in the past 12 months.
The German joined the Gunners from Valencia in the summer of 2016 and he has since made 115 appearances for the club across all competitions.
According to The Mirror, Gunners boss Unai Emery is said to hold the ambition to sanction the defender's sale this summer following his costly mistakes at different stages of the previous campaign.
However, the player himself does not appear keen on a fresh challenge and he is prepared to stick with the club for at least another season before deciding on his future.
The Gunners are expected to be without Rob Holding for the beginning of the season due to a long-term knee injury and they could face a further setback with Laurent Koscielny aiming to push through an exit.
The club-captain has declined to travel with the Gunners for their pre-season tour of the United States and reports indicate that the Frenchman is prepared to buy out the remainder of his contract.
