Hudson-Odoi close to new Chelsea deal

Chelsea are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Callum Hudson-Odoi regarding a new long-term contract.

The 18-year-old made his breakthrough during the previous season with the Blues, where he racked a total of 23 appearances before sustaining a long-term Achilles injury.

Since then, there have been doubts over his Blues future with his contract expiring at the end of the 2019/20 season, but The Mail claims that the club are making progress in terms of extending his stay.

The Blues are prepared to reward the attacker with a five-year contract worth £100,000-a-week and reports suggest that the attacker is likely to accept the proposal, given he has been offered assurances of regular gametime under new boss Frank Lampard.

Elsewhere, the west London side are said to have included plenty of bonus-related clauses in the proposed contract and the winger stands the chance of doubling his salary, should he make progress in the right direction.
