Everton table bid for Wilfried Zaha
Everton table bid for Wilfried Zaha
Everton have submitted a late offer for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha ahead of Arsenal's rumoured interest in the Ivory Coast international. The winger, who has recently been linked with a move away from the Eagles, had been desperate for a transfer to the Gunners but Arsenal's bid of £40 million has been rejected.
Everton boss Marco Silva has submitted a competitive bid for the attacking player and it is believed to still be some way off of Palace's transfer valuation for Zaha of around £80 million. Everton have entered the race with an initial bid of £55 million.
It is understood that Zaha still dreams for and holds hope that he can make a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners are currently cash strapped and limited in their transfer budget for this window.
Everton, on the other hand, has been promised an enormous budget and are confident a deal can be reached before the end of the transfer window in two weeks time for former Man Utd winger Zaha.
