Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on landing the signature of defender Harry Maguire from Leicester City at the earliest possibility.

The Red Devils have been in negotiations with the Foxes for the centre-back in the past month but so far, they have not been able to meet the £90m asking price.

According to Sky Sports News, Solskjaer is concerned by the delay in discussions for the defender and has urged executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to complete the deal sooner rather than later.

Woodward has opted to remain at the club's headquarters in the past few days in order to speed up the transfer business and it remains to be seen whether United can find the breakthrough for Maguire.

Maguire has four years remaining on his existing deal with the Foxes and Brendan Rodgers has recently indicated that the club are likely to decline any offers which don't meet their valuation for the 26-year-old.
