Axel Tuanzebe to join Newcastle United?

Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe could make a loan move to Newcastle United this summer, should the Red Devils manage to land the signature of Leicester City's Harry Maguire.

Magpies boss Steve Bruce has previously worked with Tuanzebe during the defender's temporary deal at Aston Villa, and he appears keen on a reunion on Tyneside this summer.

According to The Mail, the 21-year-old is currently regarded as a potential back-up option at United and the arrival of Maguire from the Foxes could drop him further down the pecking order.

In this case, the Red Devils are bound to sanction his departure on a temporary basis and reports suggest that the Magpies are in the frontline to pursue the versatile defender.

Tuanzebe, who can play at centre-back or right-back, has been a regular presence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in pre-season, but that seems unlikely to assure him with a regular spot when the real business begins next month.
