Arsenal left-back agrees two-year deal with Spanish club?
Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal is reportedly on the verge of joining Real Sociedad after agreeing personal terms with the Spanish top-flight side.
Monreal has made more than 250 appearances for the Gunners since arriving from Malaga in January 2013 but it appears that his stay could soon come to an end.
According to Marca, negotiations are at advanced stage between the Gunners and Sociedad over the transfer fee and the defender has already agreed to personal terms with the La Liga outfit.
Monreal is expected to be handed with a two-year contract upon joining the side with the option for another 12 months, should he play enough games during the course of the 2020-21 campaign.
The Spain international has started each of the three Premier League games for the Gunners this term but he appears certain to be replaced with Sead Kolasinac at left-back for the north London derby next weekend.
The north London giants recruited the services of Kieran Tierney from Celtic earlier this summer and the 22-year-old is expected to command the left-back role when he returns to full fitness in the coming weeks.
